Information You Submit When Applying for Membership:
To join Liper, you’ll need to complete an application process using details such as your Instagram username, contact details, and phone contacts. By proceeding, you authorize us to access data from your Instagram profile—such as profile picture, bio, website, follower list, following list, and the number of posts—as part of verifying your identity and assessing your connections to existing members. You may also be asked to permit location sharing, which can be toggled on or off in your app settings, and may include options to display your precise location to other users. Providing this data is optional; you can use the Service without sharing your location.
Additionally, you may supply personal information like your name, email, date of birth, gender, hometown, current city, phone number, and details about your interests and preferences. Some of this information might be classified as “sensitive” depending on local laws, and by sharing it, you consent to our processing and storage in accordance with applicable regulations. Any conversations or correspondence you have within the Service may also be collected if you contact us or other users.
Details Provided by Other Users:
Other members may input information about you—for example, if they contact us about you or if you are stored as a contact in their device.
Automatic Data Collection:
As you navigate the Service, certain technical details are gathered automatically, such as your device type, operating system, IP address, access times, and Interaction patterns. If you enable location permissions, we will collect precise geographic data; if not, we may still infer general location information based on your IP address, city, or region.
Third-Party Sites & Payments:
In cases where you access third-party links within our app, their privacy policies will govern their data collection. For payments, we work exclusively with trusted providers like Stripe and Apple Pay, so your financial details are handled securely by these third parties—Liper itself does not store or process your credit card data.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies:
We use cookies and similar tools for authentication, preference management, analytics, and feature access. Some browsers support a “Do Not Track” signal, but since industry standards are evolving, we do not currently respond to such signals.
